Grand Rapids, Michigan / October 19, 2023 – The Grand Rapids Chamber has announced Dalen Mendiola as Director of Business Growth.
In this role, Dalen is responsible for challenging, supporting, and ultimately guiding the Chamber’s business services and initiatives to increase the success of area businesses. He will oversee the planning, development and implementation of Chamber business development strategies including the Center for Economic Inclusion. This position engages with member and non-member organizations to encourage engagement in the Chamber, facilitate connections, provide introductions, and move businesses forward.

Dalen previously served as the owner of BSR META LLC, a business consulting firm specializing in scaling small businesses and increasing sales revenues. Dalen has spent most of his career in the industrial distribution industry as a District Sales Manager at MSC Industrial Supply Company, District Sales Manager at Kimball Midwest Company and General Manager at Fastenal Company over his 16+ years in the business world.
“I am eager to put my experiences to practice with the Grand Rapids Chamber,” Dalen said. “I look forward to serving the West Michigan business community as we position our members for success and growth.”
Dalen is a Hope College graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management and has utilized his degree leading and developing sales teams throughout West Michigan and Southwest Michigan. Working with a diverse client base such as manufacturing, machinery, medical, food processing, waste disposal, local and federal government and various other industries has given Dalen a wide array of experiences and insights into the needs, wants and missions of many companies throughout Michigan.

- Dalen grew up in Spring Lake and now resides in Grand Haven Township with his wife Amanda and two children Ella and Myles.
- Dalen and his family love going to West Michigan White Caps and Grand Rapids Griffins games supporting our local sports heroes.
- Dalen is an avid outdoors man taking advantage of all the beautiful scenery and nature West Michigan has to offer.
