Dalen Mendiola is the Director of Business Growth at the Grand Rapids Chamber and is responsible for leading the business growth team. Through this role, Dalen is responsible for challenging, stretching, supporting, celebrating and ultimately guiding the Chamber’s business services and initiatives to increase the success of area businesses. This role oversees the planning, development, implementation and monitoring of Chamber business development strategies including the Center for Economic Inclusion. Dalen also engages with member and non-member organizations to encourage engagement in the Chamber, facilitate connections, provide introductions, and move business forward. Dalen is extremely passionate about being a fierce advocate for ALL businesses within the West Michigan community.
Dalen grew up in Spring Lake and currently resides in Grand Haven Township with his wife and two children. A graduate of Hope College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management, Dalen has lived and worked in West Michigan for most of his career. He has worked for some of the largest industrial distribution companies in the world including Fastenal Company, Kimball Midwest and MSC Industrial Supply Company as a General Manager and District Sales Manager. Through his experience in the business world, he will be able to bring a consultative approach to Chamber members, especially minority-owned businesses that truly need an extra level of support and commitment. His mission is to make a long-lasting impact for businesses throughout West Michigan. Working with the Chamber is a way to fulfill his obligation to the community and provide servant leadership in his vocation.
