About Me

Yadira Garza is the Senior Director of Development at the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce, where she leads fundraising and strategic development efforts that strengthen the Chamber’s mission across West Michigan.

An immigrant from Mexico and the first Latina director at the Chamber, Yadira has built a career on creating opportunities for others. Her leadership and impact have been recognized nationally and locally, earning her a place on both Crain’s Grand Rapids 40 Under 40 and the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives 40 Under 40 lists.

Beyond her professional role, Yadira was appointed by Governor Gretchen Whitmer as a Commissioner for the Hispanic/Latino Commission of Michigan, where she works to uplift Latino voices and advocate for equity across the state. She also serve’s on the Literacy Center of West Michigan Board.

Yadira holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Cornerstone University.
