Raquel S. Sportel is an Associate Attorney at Warner Norcross + Judd LLP in the firm’s Grand Rapids office, where she is a member of the Trusts and Estates practice group and the Private Client and Family Office industry group. Her practice spans a range of areas including estate planning, charitable giving and organizations, family office representation, family business and succession planning, fiduciary representation, and tax planning.
Raquel serves on the Board of Directors of the West Michigan Estate Planning Council and the West Michigan Asian American Association. She is also a member of the Grand Rapids Bar Association, the Michigan Asian Pacific American Bar Association, and the Hispanic Bar Association of Michigan.
A native of Chicago, Raquel launched her career in her hometown before joining Warner Norcross + Judd in 2024. Raquel earned her J.D. from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law in 2018 and her B.A. from the University of Illinois in 2012. She is admitted to practice in both Michigan and Illinois. Raquel now resides in Grand Rapids with her husband and children.
