About Me

Nicole Hofert is the Deputy City Manager for the City of Wyoming, Michigan. Nicole is a certified planner and well-known for her expertise in planning and economic development, her ability to navigate complex projects through the various regulatory and funding approvals, and her advocacy for the residents of Wyoming.

Since joining the City in 2018, she led the development of the City’s new Master Plan, Wyoming [re]Imagined, and worked closely with residents and business owners from across thecommunity throughout that process. She is also the City’s lead for the City’s new public marketplace, the redevelopment of Site 36, and the City’s efforts to create a new City Center. Over the past two years, she and her team successfully raised more than $38 million in grants and other funding to support community placemaking projects in Wyoming.

Before her work in Wyoming, she graduated from the London School of Economics with a master’s degree in city design and then worked in the private sector as a planner specializing in advising municipalities on comprehensive and master planning.
