Eva Aguirre Cooper is an experienced community executive with a history in broadcast media and community outreach. Eva is currently self-employed to help others tell their story and expand their community impact.
Previous work includes VP of Community Partnerships at TelevisaUnivision, where she worked with all their local markets in the U.S. developing their community brand “Contigo” which means “with you.” Prior to this position, Eva worked at WOOD TV8 where she was the Community Affairs Director at the NBC affiliate in Grand Rapids, MI for more than two decades.
Before joining WOOD TV8, Eva worked at three different PBS stations in Southern Illinois, South Carolina and West Michigan. Eva is active on various boards and committees including West Michigan Aviation Academy, Mary Free Bed Foundation and Experience Grand Rapids. She is also involved in the Hispanic Community. She has received many Community awards including a regional Emmy. Eva is the daughter of immigrant parents from Mexico and is fluent in Spanish.
