A Chamber Champion is recognition that the Grand Rapids Chamber began celebrating in 2021. This recognition goes to individuals who go above and beyond to create great in our community. Carl Ver Beek
Our first Chamber Champion is Carl Ver Beek. He has been practicing law at Varnum LLP since the 1960s, and has been involved with the Chamber’s Government Affairs work for decades, even serving as the Chamber’s Board Chair. We sat down with Carl to discuss the changes and growth that Grand Rapids has seen, and where we might be headed next.

Our other Chamber Champion we are recognizing this year is Ruth Gaudard. She is the External Affairs Director of West Michigan for AT&T. She had a chance to share how even though AT&T is a large company, she and her team are still committed to making a difference in West Michigan. Ruth currently serves on the Public Policy Council for the Grand Rapids Chamber. You won’t want to miss her reflect on her time serving the Grand Rapids community!
