Born and raised in Mexico, Alberto Garza has called Grand Rapids home for 18 years. After 12 years in commercial and private banking, he now nurtures West Michigan’s creative economy as Community Cultivator of The Factory, the city’s flagship coworking hub. He also co-owns The General Wood Shop, an LGBTQIA+ cocktail bar on Bridge Street celebrated for its inclusive vibe and inventive drinks. Across both ventures, Alberto curates events, forges partnerships, and champions welcoming spaces where ideas—and people—can thrive.
