Jeffrey Capizzano is the President of the Policy Equity Group, an early childhood consultancy that helps states, organizations, childcare providers, and families navigate the complexity created by federal early childhood policies and programs. Prior to founding the firm, he was a Senior Policy Advisor for Early Childhood in the Obama Administration, where he helped administer over $16 billion in federal early childhood programs by providing policy guidance to the Office of Head Start and the Office of Child Care at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Mr. Capizzano has also been Vice President at Teaching Strategies, the developer of the country’s most widely used early childhood curriculum. He started his career at the Urban Institute, a prominent Washington, D.C.-based think tank, where he conducted research in the areas of early childhood and K–12 education policy.
