Michael Fleck is the Director of Reliability & Regional Planning at ITC Holdings Corp., where he oversees a team responsible for new load interconnections, reliability planning, and major regional planning initiatives—including MVP and LRTP projects—for ITCT, METC, and ITCM. His work requires close coordination with load‑serving entities and a wide range of stakeholders to advance project development and ensure robust technical justification throughout the MISO planning process.
With more than 20 years of experience in the electric utility sector, Michael brings a broad background spanning consulting, manufacturing, and utility operations. Over his 12 years at ITC, he has held key roles in physical station design, system protection and control, and generator interconnections, giving him a comprehensive perspective on grid planning and system performance.
He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Michigan and Indiana, an active IEEE member, and holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Rose‑Hulman Institute of Technology and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Systems from Arizona State University.
