Rebekah Kik currently serves as Deputy City Manager for the City of Kalamazoo, bringing more than 22 years of experience in urban design, development, and transportation planning. Trained as an architect, she has always been motivated by a deep belief that great places should be livable, affordable, and accessible to everyone. That commitment led her to expand her expertise into economic development and finance, allowing her to bridge vision with implementation. For the past 12 years, Rebekah has worked alongside dedicated colleagues and community partners to help make Kalamazoo a model for cities across the country. She is passionate about sharing the lessons, successes, and challenges of her team’s work, and she finds real joy in helping other communities create places people love to call home.
