About Me

Tricia A. Keith is president and CEO of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, taking the helm in 2025 of the $43.3 billion diversified enterprise and Michigan’s largest health insurer, serving over 5 million members across the nation. With two decades at BCBSM in senior leadership roles, Keith focuses on driving innovation, enhancing affordability across the health care system and reinforcing the company’s role as a trusted partner in improving our members’ care and health. Under her leadership, BCBSM continues to innovate and advance member-focused health insurance to adapt to a changing industry.

Prior to her role as president and CEO, Keith most recently served as BCBSM’s executive vice president, chief operating officer and president of its Emerging Markets division, a multi-subsidiary company including our Medicare Advantage and Medicaid lines of business. She has also served as executive vice president, chief administrative officer and corporate secretary for the company. Prior to joined Blue Cross, Keith held positions as the director of Business Operations for the Michigan House of Representatives and vice president of External Relations for the Michigan Economic Development Corporation.

Keith is actively involved in several industry and community organizations, including the boards of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, AmeriHealth Caritas, BCS Financial Corporation, the National Institute for Health Care Management (NIHCM), America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP), Business Leaders for Michigan, the Detroit Economic Club and Downtown Detroit Partnership, as well as serving on Michigan State University’s Green & White Council. Keith was honored as one of Crain’s Detroit Business’ 2025 Newsmakers of the Year and the 2025 Women of Influence class, in addition to its Top 100 Influential Women in Michigan in 2016 and 2021. She was also recognized as a Crain’s 40 Under 40 honoree and received the 2012 National Management Association Executive of the Year.

Keith earned a Master of Business Administration from Michigan State University and a bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University.
