About Me

As part of the Chamber’s executive leadership team, Jenny is vice president of economic growth. Her experience in sales, strategy, and marketing will help her to develop innovative strategies and resources to foster the growth of all businesses, especially those entrepreneurs who have traditionally been underserved.

Jenny has twice been honored as one of the 50 Most Influential Women in West Michigan. She was awarded the Honorary Allied Award 2021 from the American Institute of Architects, Grand Rapids Chapter for rendering distinguished service to the architectural profession. Most recently, Jenny was named Volunteer of the Year by Disability Advocates of Kent County. She loves to give back to the community and has served on boards of directors, committees, and capital campaigns for Habitat for Humanity Kent County, Wolverine World Wide YMCA, American Council of Engineering Companies, and many more.

She’s most passionate about construction after nearly 20 years in construction/engineering/architecture industry. Jenny has worked to expose more women to the profession and helped to create events and groups to provide training, leadership development, and network opportunities to these women. Jenny currently is chairman of the board of directors for Associated Builders and Contractors Western Michigan. She helped create Women of Habitat Kent, Built by Women Industry Event, and Inforum’s AEC Affinity Group. She brings this experience to make a difference for the Chamber’s West Michigan Minority Contractors and Business Growth programs.

In her free time, Jenny chairs the planning commission and site plan review committee for her township, spends time with her husband and two daughters, and enjoys playing with her two dogs.

Fun Facts:

  • Jenny can often be found on Bridge Street or over at the Garage Bar. Gotta love those chicken tenders!
  • Jenny’s favorite Chamber program is the Create Great Leaders fundraiser because it is so important to raise scholarship dollars for Chamber programs. Jenny is a strong advocate for the Leadership Grand Rapids program as a 2017 graduate, and believes removing financial barriers to the class through scholarship will help extend the learning experience deeper into our community.
