As the owner of Flywheel Community Development Consultants, Ryan has led work across the State of Michigan to ensure each community understands the need for housing at all price points and how to streamline their regulatory code and leverage development incentives to maximize housing production and preservation. He has helped to define housing as a core economic development issue for Michigan through data-oriented dialogue and partnerships with employers, government, chambers of commerce, non-profit partners and developers.
Ryan has a background in economic development, planning and finance and has 20 years of experience working on public-private partnerships. He has a Masters in Design for Social Innovation from Kendall College of Art & Design.
