American Society of Employers (ASE) Expands Training Programs to Grand Rapids

The American Society of Employers (ASE), Michigan’s largest employer association, is excited to announce the expansion of its employee development courses to Grand Rapids. Held at the Grand Rapids Chamber office, these courses are designed to empower professionals at every level with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in today’s competitive landscape.   To celebrate the launch, ASE is offering a 20% discount on all Grand Rapids courses for registrations completed by March 31, 2025. Participants can use the code GR20 during registration to save. 

Upcoming Courses in Grand Rapids:

First Aid, CPR/AED & Bloodborne Pathogens 

  • Date & Time: March 7, 2025 | 9:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. 
  • Description: This training includes adult, child, & infant CPR; first aid for bleeding, bandaging, injuries, burns, & sudden illnesses; and AED use for cardiac emergencies (2-year certification). Bloodborne pathogens training is based on OSHA standards (annual recertification).

Principles and Practices of Supervision I 

  • Dates & Time: March 19, March 26, and April 2, 25 | 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. 
  • Description: This 3-day foundational leadership course provides supervisors with practical tools and knowledge to conquer the ten most critical tasks of a supervisor. 

Influencing Others 

  • Date & Time: April 23, 2025 | 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. 
  • Description: This course identifies ways individuals without direct authority can connect with others, gain cooperation, and influence interactions to achieve outcomes. 

Professionalism in the Workplace 

  • Date & Time: May 27, 2025 | 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. 
  • Description: This course defines professionalism, explores the consequences of unprofessional behavior, and highlights practical strategies for nurturing professionalism in the workplace. 

ASE is a pre-approved HRCI provider, a SHRM recertification provider, an IACET Authorized Provider, and a Michigan Proprietary School.
