BPF Solutions Takes Action to Help Hurricane Helene Victims

Helene Donation Efforts

When Hurricane Helene hit, BPF Solutions quickly mobilized. A simple call for help on social media snowballed into an impactful relief effort, with the organization playing a pivotal role in coordinating truckloads of essential supplies to the impacted areas.

Community-Driven Relief Effort

BPF Solutions founder Josh Bare initially noticed drivers offering space in trucks traveling to the affected areas. Seeing an opportunity to assist, they contacted local businesses and individuals to gather supplies. So far, nine trucks filled with necessities have been sent to North Carolina and surrounding regions within three weeks. This effort involves small businesses serving as collection sites and community members contributing generously.

The trucks carried a variety of critical items, including dried food, water, batteries, tarps, blankets, diapers, cold-weather clothing, generators, and more. Propane stoves and cleaning supplies were also sent to ensure residents had the tools to rebuild their lives. As colder weather approaches, additional efforts are focused on delivering heaters and warm clothing.

American Classic, a local trucking company, played a key role by offering its loading docks and drivers for the relief operations. They took on the grunt of packing the supplies by loading, palletizing, and transportating the items. Other companies pitched in by donating unused trucks.

BPF Solutions has been in contact with the recipients, including private citizens, pastors, and local officials in areas such as Wilkesboro, Asheville, and Fairview. These contacts provide feedback, ensuring that each delivery is aligned with changing needs.

A Call for Compassion and Neighborly Action

Reflecting on the experience, Bare emphasized how disasters remind us of our shared humanity.

“When disasters strike, politics and differences disappear. What matters is helping people in need—whether it’s getting medicine to a sick child or clothes for an elderly parent,” said Bare.

This grassroots effort reinforces the importance of unity, compassion, and community action during challenging times.

Bare is a veteran and this effort aligns perfectly with the values instilled through military service—coordination, resourcefulness, and a drive to help.

“This is something my wife and I always wanted to do: support our community however we can. As a business owner and vet, I feel this is just an extension of the work I’ve always done.”

The relief efforts organized by BPF Solutions highlight how ordinary people, businesses, and volunteers can make an extraordinary impact when they work together.
