Continuing the Safe Start for Michigan Businesses – Letter to Governor Whitmer

The Grand Rapids Chamber, in partnership with the Detroit Regional Chamber, Michigan Chamber, and Small Business Association of Michigan, are working together to help find a safe pathway for businesses that remain closed, to safely reopen. The business groups collaborated on a letter that was sent to Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and the Michigan Legislative Quadrant leaders, urging them to work together on a safe reopen plan, finding a solution for property tax deferral for several impacted industries, and passing legislation that assures employers in all sectors who take reasonable steps to follow public health guidelines will be protected against  COVID-19-related lawsuits.
