Today, the Grand Rapids Chamber announced the promotion of Yadira Garza-Malone to Senior Director of Development.

Yadira joined the Chamber team as Membership Engagement Manager in April 2018. In this role, she was able to cultivate deep relationships with the businesses and organizations invested in the work of the Grand Rapids Chamber.

Yadira helped lead the shift in the Chamber’s approach to consultative sales, which transitioned into investor relations and development when she was promoted to Director of Development in April 2022. Her keen insights and strategic vision allowed her to identify untapped opportunities for engagement and foster stronger connections with our investors, leading to increased trust and commitment.

“I have had the pleasure of knowing Yadira for more than ten years and it has been an honor to watch her grow and thrive in her work,” said Omar Cuevas, Senior Vice President of Investor Relations. “Few individuals possess the blend of talent, dedication, and leadership that Yadira has consistently demonstrated since joining the Chamber team in 2018.”

Yadira’s influence extends beyond the Chamber. She was a 2022 40 Under 40 Recipient and has been an active and engaged member of various boards in our community, demonstrating her dedication to making West Michigan a better place for all. Her calm demeanor under pressure and her fierce approach to sales leadership have made her a respected figure both within and outside our organization.
