María Elena Morales Cardenas (Chihuahua, Mexico), also known as Elena Morales, is the eldest daughter of María Elena Cárdenas and José Morales. Elena grew up in a traditional Mexican family, along with her two brothers, José and Luis Noel. Elena showed great interest in school, which led her to finish her education at a very early age. She graduated in Computer Systems Engineering from the Chihuahua II Technological Institute at the age of 21. After finishing his degree, she worked at Lear Corporation as a process engineer.
In 2001, she decided to emigrate to the United States with the intention of improving her English language skills. In 2002, she started a new job as a Packaging Engineer in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, where she remained for five years.
In 2003, María married Engineer Marco Santana, and had two children, Eileen and Marco in 2006. In 2007, she began a new position in the company Siemens VDO/ Continental Automotive, as a Packaging Engineer. However, in 2008, she entered the area of corporate purchasing, performing various functions.
In 2011, she transferred with her family to Auburn hills, Michigan, where she continued to grow in the purchasing department. In 2017, together with her husband, they decided to create SMTAutomationLLC, a company dedicated to the design and integration of automation machinery.
In 2020, Elena obtained her Master’s Degree in Business Administration. Currently, in 2023, Elena continues to be the successful owner of her business, where she offers opportunities for new generations in the US and Mexico.
