You may remember Eva Aguirre Cooper from WOOD TV8 where she was the Community Affairs Director at the NBC affiliate in Grand Rapids for more than two decades.
Most recently, Eva was the VP of Community Partnerships at TelevisaUnivision, where she worked with all their local markets in the U.S. developing their community brand “Contigo” which means “with you.” Creating new community partnerships and non-traditional revenue, her skills also focused on working with business partners developing their community voice, nonprofit organizations tell their story, media relations, branding and marketing.
Prior to joining WOOD TV, Eva worked at three different PBS stations in Southern Illinois, South Carolina and Grand Rapids.
Eva is still active on various boards and committees and ongoing participation in the Hispanic Community in West Michigan. She has received many Community awards including a regional Emmy.
Eva is the daughter of immigrant parents from Jalisco, Mexico and is fluent in Spanish. She is an experienced community executive and is currently self-employed to help others tell their story. Eva just walked the Camino de Santiago this year too.
