A lifelong West Michigander, Navy veteran, and champion for working families, Sean brings extensive experience across Michigan’s economy. A proud journeyman electrician and IBEW member, he served as head of Local 876, managing nonprofit operations and representing members in construction, manufacturing, and more. Sean earned a BBA in finance from Davenport University and a JD from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, attending nights and weekends. Before joining LEO, he served as General Counsel for IBEW Local 876 and worked with numerous labor unions statewide. At LEO, Sean focuses on labor, overseeing MIOSHA, Workers Disability Compensation, the Bureau of Employment Relations, and Wage & Hour Division, while supporting efforts in apprenticeship and workplace mental health. Sean’s dedication has earned him the 2023 Samuel Gompers Award, 2024 George Meany Award, and 2024 Key Contributor Award for advancing skilled trades and worker rights.
