Sommer has had the privilege of serving the community for the last 15 years in various capacities, including as a teacher, training manager, director of education, and DEI consultant. Throughout her career, she has participated in various Chamber cohorts and events, including Emerging Leaders, the Diversity & Talent Summit, and Culturally Intelligent Leadership. She recently graduated with her doctorate in Organizational Change and Leadership which she hopes to utilize to continue creating positive and ever lasting impact in her community through her new role at the Grand Rapids Chamber!
