Thelma Ensink has served as the Executive Director of Dégagé Ministries since 2021. She served previously as the head of school and high school principal at Grandville Calvin Christian Schools, where she cofounded Ambassador High, a Big Picture Learning school. She started her career as a paramedic for American Medical Response, working in downtown Grand Rapids.
She has served on multiple boards including Safe Haven Ministries and as a trustee on the Christian Schools International Pension Board. She received her undergraduate degree in secondary education from Calvin University and her master’s degree in educational leadership from Grand Valley State University.
