Vivian TerMaat is the CEO of Girl Scouts of Michigan Shore to Shore, one of 111 Girl Scout councils in the nation. Prior to her role at GSMISTS, TerMaat was with Wedgwood Christian Services where she served as the Chief Advancement Officer. She is active in the West Michigan community as a part of the Grand Rapids Economic Club, Association of Fundraising Professionals, Inforum of West Michigan, Central Reformed Church, and the West Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Her demonstrated dynamic nonprofit leadership is expanding life-changing leadership experiences for girls throughout western and northern Michigan.
TerMaat grew up in Chile, Argentina, and Singapore before moving to Michigan as a 10-year-old. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Western Michigan University, a Masters in Management from Aquinas and is a Certified Fundraising Executive. She is lives Grand Rapids, Michigan with her husband Tom TerMaat and their three daughters who range in age from 11 – 19.
