Kate Wezeman grew up in Spring Lake and currently considers herself a GR Westsider. Kate has a bachelor’s degree in accounting/management from Park University and a Master’s of Science in taxation from Grand Valley State University. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a SHRM Certified Professional. Prior to joining the Chamber team in 2017, Kate worked in public accounting and as a controller in the private sector, and during that time, she also served as a Chamber Ambassador. In her current role, Kate oversees the finance, operations/facilities, human resources and IT for the Chamber team.
Kate is married with two adult daughters and two adorable pit bull rescues. In her free time, she loves to take walks, hike, read and travel. Kate also loves live outdoor music in the summer and is a die-hard Spartan fan.
Fun Facts:
- Kate had the amazing opportunity to do a tandem skydive jump with the U.S. Army Golden Knights in Minneapolis a few years ago as part of their community outreach in West Michigan.
- Kate loves enjoying a glass of wine on the JDek at sunset.
