Dr. Sommer Jabbar serves as the Director of Inclusion and Belonging at the Grand Rapids Chamber, where she is responsible for spearheading the Chamber’s diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Her portfolio includes overseeing Affinity Groups such as OutPro, Athena, and Latina Connect. In collaboration with the Vice President of Talent and Inclusion, Dr. Sommer leads a team of program managers to deliver a comprehensive suite of programs, trainings, and facilitation aimed at fostering inclusion, safety, and belonging for Chamber members and the wider community.
Dr. Sommer also manages the councils of Chamber members who provide guidance on the department’s initiatives. With a recently earned doctorate in Organizational Change and Leadership, Dr. Sommer is dedicated to leveraging her expertise to drive positive and lasting impact within her community through her role at the Grand Rapids Chamber.
