About Me

Dannis joined Barton Malow in 2013 as a Marketing Manager. Since then, she’s ventured into the community engagement sphere and held roles as Diversity Manager, Senior Community Engagement Manager, Director of Community Engagement, and most recently has been appointed Senior Director of Community Engagement.

In her role, Dannis leverages her marketing and business development background to support teams in securing new business while deepening diversity, equity, and inclusion on projects through workforce development programming and diverse contractor procurement. Her team has grown through the years and she currently has three direct reports.

She works with all functions of the business to steward the enterprise’s growth while also establishing and monitoring joint venture and mentor-mentee relationships between Barton Malow and minority firms across the country. She now works on strategic planning and program implementation for projects more than a billion dollars in size across the country.

In 2021, Dannis received the Ben C. Maibach III Impact Award of Excellence, which is presented to a Barton Malow team member who displays excellence in influencing lives, improving work, and strengthening communities.

Dannis has been honored with multiple awards and recognition for her work, including: Corporate Excellence Award (Michigan Chronicle, 2023); Notable Women In Construction, Architecture, and Design (Crain’s Detroit Business, 2022); 40 Under 40 (Crain’s Detroit Business [2017] + Michigan Chronicle [2018]); Dave Bing Shining Light Award (Detroit Free Press, 2018)

She is a member of the Urban Land Institute, Council of Supplier Diversity Professionals, and American Contract Compliance Association.
