Summer Sharrard-Neering joined the Chamber team at the start of 2023, bringing her event management background and friendly demeanor with her as the Talent Program Manager. She’s passionate about creating experiences that spark passion in others, which is why she loves co-leading ATHENA and coordinating the Chamber’s leadership programs. Her commitment to fostering growth and development in others shines through in her interactions and the programs she organizes.
Before calling West Michigan home, her interests and passions led her to hold positions nationwide, including in Nashville, TN, and Washington, D.C. Most recently, she worked with Central Michigan University’s Alumni Relations team.
As new residents of Grand Rapids, Summer and her husband, Alex, enjoy exploring the city with their two pups, Maeve and Miller. They love trying new restaurants, walking trails, and enjoying a sweet treat by Reeds Lake. Come November, their family will expand as they eagerly wait for the arrival of their first baby.
